I have so much to post about but so little patience for the computer after spending 8 hours per day, 5 days per week with them. A quick update on my knee will have to do. On Friday, I ran up Sterling Mountain, a small peak, located near Smugglers Notch, that offers great views to the north, into Quebec. The notch bluffs can also be seen from the summit area. The Friday before last, I ran up the same route, all the time worrying that my knee might give out; that the shots of pain would come back in full force and cause me to limp my way down. I was fortunate to have only a brief bout of sensation, not strong enough to be called pain, on the way down, nearly at the bottom of the hill. As each week goes by, though, my knee seems to be holding up better and better. It's definitely not allowing me to run at full capacity but at least I can run! Today marks two days in a row of morning runs. To be on the safe side, I will probably take tomorrow off, but we'll see. It's difficult to give up a slow, easy run on a cool summer morning.
