Lake Champlain Chocolate

Dave returned from Burlington, VT last night and, as requested, brought back Lake Champlain Chocolate! However, I only asked for one chocolate bar, if he had time. Instead, he brought back an armful of chocolates of all kinds! I was so excited. I received the truffles (pictured above), which are freaking delicious, even though I don't usually like truffles. I tried the rasperry truffle after our late lunch of tuna sandwiches and mushroom soup. And I savored the champagne truffle after a dinner of chicken breast, asparagus, and salad. Oh my, I'm in heaven. I told Dave we can't move to Burlington because I'll be eating chocolates 24 seven.

After the truffles, I tried the Spicy Pumkin Aztec bar. I love spicy dark chocolate. Especially, spicy hot chocolate.
Dave also bought two combo packs of bite-size chocolates. I had to try one of these as well--I opted for the Almond Dark. Very tasty.

I brought one combo pack to work, for an after lunch snack. Quite handy if you ask me.

And, finally, he bought three chocolate bars: two darks and one hazelnut praline. I'd like to say all this chocolate will last me for a while, but I'd be lying. I'll probably have it finished by tonight! Really, though, if you love chocolate like I do, it's nice to have a bite after lunch or dinner and to savor life's simple delights. It's nice to feel special and to know someone cares. I hope you all have a loved one that can make you feel special, or someone you can treat every so often.

Deanna, thank you for sharing the chocolate, via snail mail. It melted a bit but I managed to salvage alot ... in fridge now firming up. Wish it was as easy to firm up thigh and arm muscles.
Love yuuuuu !!!!!

I'm still working on my Art Bar you gave me. I take tiny little pieces and let them melt in my mouth, tickling my taste buds. I think about times I spent with you and wonder what shenanigans you're up to since I'm in Oregon.

I'll be sad when it's gone.
